Our Founder and Director Brandon McCarrell is someone that strives to create work that help gives a voice to those who’s message needs to be heard in a world that seems louder and louder. He grew up in the small town of Parma Michigan, and has planted everywhere from Los Angeles, California to Ottawa, Ontario Canada but now calls Durham, North Carolina home.

Brandon is known for his drive, passion for hard-work, and ability to think quick on his feet. He is referred to as a kind, thoughtful, and easy-going leader who’s always open to new ideas, exploration and collaboration. He truly loves serving the world by being generous to others and making people feel valued simply for who they are. Brandon is truly most passionate about grace, seeking truth, learning how to love better, and making the world a place of hope through his interactions with others and the stories he tells.

Brandon began evolving his storytelling voice from a young age through music. From photographing touring bands for the Alternative Press; producing national campaigns for Universities; directing documentary content for non-profits in Canada, North America, Kenya, and India; while producing alongside regional and global brands, Brandon’s drive and passion for others continues to grow into something much bigger than himself. Founding Raven Media House in 2018 was the evolution of the foundation laid the decade before, and allowed him to create a community of world-class collaborators to capture: authentic content focused on cultivating relationships that helps brands impact local communities and the world.

Raven Media House’s community includes brands such as Facebook, Nascar, Nike, Children’s Home Society of NC, Stop Soldier Suicide, Elevation Outreach, Elevation Church, Global Hope India, Affordable Dentures and Implants, Convoy of Hope, Ottawa Tourism, Alamance Arts among others.
