Ike Hawkins

Born in Burlington, NC. He started singing in church, taking up saxophone in 6th grade. Ike's mother taught music for 65 years andwas a big influence during his formative years. Music played a vital role in Ike's life especially as a 12 year old, schools were integrating and activism was on the rise. Music was an outlet, keeping him out of trouble and allowing him to process what was happening politically at the time. Among the many folks Ike has played for he fondly recalls playing music for Dr. Maya Angelou.

George Williamson

(aka Black Market Da Prince), started making music at the age of 16. References to the hardships George has faced through out his life can be found dispersed in his lyrics, especially in the song 'May 1st.' George attributes his family for pushing him to success, first by acknowledging his brother's influence and then by sharing his grandfather's words of encouragement, “Be the best you can be at whatever you do.” George is making good on the promise he made to his mother by never giving up on his passion, music.
