Ottawa’s Own:

Black Coffee Apparel

“A main part of my inspiration comes from the city. I’m very proud of where I live and as I walk through the many enigmatic neighborhoods my creativity is energized.”

Randy Hogg moved to Ottawa from Cornwall to attend school at Algonquin College – and to maybe catch a punk show or two along the way. Growing up a skateboarder, he believed that personal style was a person’s badge of honour. But over the years, he grew more disappointed in seeing the same lame t-shirts and streetwear all over the place. Fed up with the status quo, he created Black Coffee Apparel. Good coffee, tattoos, skateboarding and the great outdoors are a few of his favourite things and ultimately inspired this edgy lifestyle brand. Randy also draws inspiration from the city he is proud to call home and a community that is proud to support him.
